These Terms of Service outline the conditions under which MPS Electrical provides electrical services to residential and commercial clients across Inner West Sydney. By booking, requesting, or using our services, you agree to these terms.
1. Services Provided
MPS Electrical offers:
- Electrical repairs (urgent and scheduled)
- Installations, upgrades, and maintenance
- Safety inspections and compliance checks
- Residential and commercial electrical work
All work is carried out by licensed electricians or qualified subcontractors under our supervision.
2. Quotes & Pricing
Quotes
- Quotes are provided based on the information available at the time.
- On-site conditions may result in price adjustments.
- Quotes are valid for the period specified (if not provided, 14 days by default).
Call-Out Fees
Call-out fees may apply for inspections, emergency visits, or short-notice service requests.
Additional Charges
Additional charges may apply for:
- Extra materials
- Unexpected repair work
- After-hours or emergency service
- Travel outside standard service areas
We will communicate any changes before proceeding wherever possible.
3. Bookings & Cancellations
Bookings
- A booking is confirmed once a date/time is agreed and accepted by MPS Electrical.
- For larger jobs, a deposit may be required.
Cancellations
- Cancellations or rescheduling should be made at least 24 hours in advance.
- Short-notice cancellations may incur a call-out fee.
4. Customer Responsibilities
To allow efficient and safe work, customers must:
- Provide accurate information about the property and electrical issues.
- Ensure clear access to the work area.
- Secure pets, hazardous items, and personal belongings.
- Obtain required permissions from property owners, strata, or building management if applicable.
MPS Electrical is not responsible for delays caused by restricted access or missing permissions.
5. Safety & Compliance
All services are performed in accordance with:
- Australian Standards
- NSW electrical regulations
- Workplace health and safety requirements
If unsafe conditions exist, we may be unable to proceed until rectified.
6. Warranty & Guarantees
Workmanship
We provide a workmanship guarantee in line with NSW industry standards.
Materials
Products or parts installed are covered by manufacturer warranties.
These may vary depending on brand and type.
Exclusions
Warranty does not apply to:
- Customer-supplied materials
- Misuse, damage, or modifications after service
- Normal wear and tear
- Issues caused by other contractors or external factors (water leaks, pests, power surges, etc.)
7. Payments
Payment terms:
- Payment is due upon completion of the job unless otherwise agreed.
- We accept standard payment methods (bank transfer, card, or as specified on the invoice).
- Deposits may be required for large or custom jobs.
Late payments may incur fees as outlined on the invoice or under NSW regulations.
8. Liability
MPS Electrical is not liable for:
- Losses due to power outages, equipment failure, or events outside our control
- Damages resulting from pre-existing electrical issues
- Loss of income, business interruption, or indirect damages
Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted under Australian consumer law.
9. Subcontractors
We may engage qualified subcontractors when required.
All subcontractors follow the same safety, quality, and confidentiality standards as our team.
10. Changes to Services
We reserve the right to update, adjust, or discontinue services or pricing at any time.
Changes will not affect confirmed bookings unless required for safety or legal reasons.
11. Termination of Service
We may pause or terminate service if:
- Unsafe conditions exist
- Aggressive or inappropriate behaviour occurs
- Access is denied
- Payment terms are not followed
Any outstanding fees remain payable.

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
